ALEX Brannan celebrated his 10th birthday by getting in the thick of the action at this year’s It’s A Knockout contest in Silloth.
The birthday boy was part of the Silloth Sharks team taking part in the junior contest on Saturday.
It’s A Knockout was returning to the town after a break of five years.
The Green was taken over by inflatables and spectators flocked to watch the messy, madcap antics.
The weekend was organised by Silloth Festivals Ltd.
Other teams included Harrisons Best, Silloth Heroes and children from the town’s primary school. All of the children competing received a medal.
About 15 adult teams competed.
They included Silloth’s First Responders, the local doctors’ surgery, Cumberland Building Society, Dalston-based David Allen & Co accountants, Cumberland Building Supplies, Abbey Construction from Abbeytown, Harrisons Haulage, Stanwix Holiday Park and John Cook Signs from Carlisle.
Some of the teams were raising money for charities.
A collection for the Pride of Cumbria air ambulance also took place.
It’s A Knockout came just three weeks after the success of the town’s latest beer and music festival.
